Communications & messaging

What you need

One bot token from Discord

Who can get it

Anyone who can create an app in the Discord Developer Portal, plus an admin of each server

Where data lands

A governed table in your DataOS lakehouse

Connection type

REST API

How the connection works

Source
Discord
DataOS connector
Keeps it up to date
DataOS lakehouse
Governed data product

The connector uses your Discord bot to list the servers it has joined, the channels in them, and the messages in those channels, then adds them to three tables in DataOS. It does not read the text of messages.
